The seabirds of the east coast are spectacular. I do not photograph anything that is not wild including those that are fed bread and etc. by people. I feel that this is not healthy for them and makes them tame. It also detracts from their wild and natural beauty. Many of these photographs were taken in small inlets on Long Island Sound in New York, less than 40 minutes from the city. My favorite is the osprey (a unique member of the hawk family) which survives solely on live fish. I also love the elegance and grace of herons and egrets, the organization and beauty of geese and the funny antics and socialization of wild ducks.
